DRWs review: Christian in 2006

Christian's first official duty of the year was his christening!

In his first year he has been with his parents on many outings, friends' christenings, shopping, walking and acompanying his mother to 'work'. Christian went with his parents on trips overseas to Germany, Norway, St Petersberg, the United States and Australia.

Christian made a balcony appearance at the Queen's birthday in April. He will need to get used to that!

Then there was a trip on the Dannebrog from Copenhagen to Bornholm where his appearance on deck on arrival delighted onlookers.

In the family photocall at GrĂ¥sten, he was one of many of the royal children, but his destiny is like none of the others:

Happy? hmm, maybe not so much that day. In Newport, RI, USA

Christian celebrated his 1st birthday - and so did we!

Christian had his first introduction to Australia during a short vistit at the end of November. It was a case of lots of people to see and lots of places to go!

Then there was lots of private stuff in between and Frederik and Mary shared a little of it at the beginning of the northern summer with their own photos of their little one:

The end of the year saw Christian joining the family for a Christmas photo with three generations of the descendants of Frederik IX. He had been wounded while mastering the art of balancing as he learns to walk.
