Mary visits horse training exhibition at Vilhelmsborg

border=This afternoon Crown Princess Mary visited Denmark's National Horsesports Centre at Vilhelmsborg in Mårslet to see a demonstration of horse training. It is a horse show of a different kind because it is an exhibition by the so-called 'horse whisperer' Monty Roberts. Monty Roberts' visit coincides with the opening of a school of horse training based on his technique in Denmark.

Have you got any more photo of the princess at the horse show? Are they still to come???
It looks like she is holding someone or something, was the young prince with her? Fred not there?

Hi Sarah,
If we find more pics we will inlcude them. Christian was not with Mary, Mary's first hofdame Countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen was with her.
Mary is very interested in the Monty Roberts approach, in her 2004 interview with Ninka she had mentioned how she had used it for her horse after another horse had died and it was pining. Her horse had tried to revive his stablemate by nipping and licking it after it collapsed but it had died suddenly of a congenital heart condition. She thought it was worth having a go because her horse was just not happy. Mary was very impressed by the transformation in her horse and became very interested in the Monty Roberts ideas from then.
Cheers lotte
