Mary at the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair

Today Crown Princess Mary has visited the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) at the Bella Center in Copenhagen. Mary is the patron of CIFF since 2002, which is northern Europe’s biggest fashion fair. CIFF and CIFFKIDS are closed to the public as they are trade fairs for professional fashion buyers. This season the 28th Copenhagen International Fashion Fair sets another fair record with an increase in exhibition space and an 11 per cent increase in exhibitors.

Crown Princess Mary was unable to attend the trend show on this occasion but was given a briefing on forthcoming trends by the new trend team headed by Gary Page and Carolyn Clewer. On arrival Crown Princess Mary was greeted by Jørgen Kjær Jacobsen, Chairman of the Danish Federation of Textile & Clothing, and Arne Bang Mikkelsen, Managing Director of the Bella Center. This season there will be 1,029 exhibitors presenting 2,054 brands with around 30,000 fashion buyers from more than 50 countries.
