The New Year is rung in around the world and today there will be a royal reception and gala dinner which marks the beginning of the royal year in Denmark. Frederik and Mary will attend and so will other members of the Danish royal family. The reception and gala will be at Christian VII's Mansion, Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.
